Texas A&M Men’s Golf Finishes 12th in Washington

SAMMAMISH, Wash. – The No. 19 Texas A&M men’s golf team moved down one spot the final round with a 9-over 297 to finish in 12^th place at 24-over 888 at the par-72, 7,007-yard Sahalee Country Club.

Arizona State won the team title followed by Florida, Arizona, Pepperdine and Duke in the top 5.

Phichaksn Maichon led the Aggies with an eighth place showing in the loaded field. He posted an even 72 Sunday to finish even 216 for the tournament. Oregon’s Aiden Krafft (-4) edged out Arizona State’s Jose Luis Ballester (-3) and Preston Summerhays (-3) for individual honors.

In his collegiate debut, freshman Wheaton Ennis tied for 36^th place. He registered a 3-over 75 to finish the tournament at 6-over 222.

Jaime Montojo was the next Aggie on the leaderboard, logging an 8-over 224 to finish tied for 46^th.

Jack Usner recorded Texas A&M’s second-best score Sunday with a 2-over 74. He closed out the tournament at 15-over-231, followed by Aaron Pounds (233) and Vishnu Sadagopan (240).

The Aggies return to action Sep. 20-22 when they head to prestigious Olympia Fields Country Club to participate in the Fighting Illini Invitational.
