Original story, March 28, 2016:

A white collar crime investigation by Bryan police that lasted almost a year and a half results in an arrest.

Five owners of rental properties say their manager, 55 year old Diane Selinski Davis of College Station, kept more than $66,000 dollars between 2008 and 2014.

According to the arrest report, Davis wrote letters telling victims stating she kept the money because she was a drug addict.

Investigators determined Davis kept rent, deposits, and got paid when she did not prepare rentals for new occupants.

One of the five victims documented his loss at more than $16,000 dollars. That included Davis allowing evicted tenants to stay so she could keep the rent. The owner of ten units, who made the first police report in October 2014, also told investigators he refused Davis’s $100,000 dollar settlement offer.

A second victim estimated his total loss at $25,000 dollars, but investigators have yet to see documentation.

A third victim said Davis charged him for repairs that were never completed and she gave herself an additional $250 dollars a month without prior approval for five years.

A fourth victim owns a fourplex, and the fifth owns three homes.

Davis is out of jail after posting an $8,000 dollar bond.
