County Commissioners Deny Salvage Yard Permit

Brazos County commissioners turned down a salvage yard permit request from the owners of an unlicensed car-crushing business just outside the west city limits of Bryan.

County Judge Duane Peters says the county attorney’s office will be in contact with the operators to remove the debris off Chick Lane between Villa Maria and Leonard Road.

Peters said if the owner does not remove existing vehicles and clean up, legal action will be pursued.

The unlicensed salvage yard is across the road from where six hundred homes will be built and upstream from ponds that would be threatened by runoff from the operation.
