College Station School District Parents Tell The School Board Not To Move Their Students From College Station High School

A crowd of more than 150 heard more than 20 public speakers oppose plans to change the boundaries of College Station High School.

Almost half of the speakers at Monday night’s public hearing also called on the board to grandfather this year’s eighth graders. Administrators are recommending grandfathering this year’s ninth and tenth graders.

The College Station school board, which had no comments, will resume discussions Wednesday at 3 p.m. and next Monday at 5 p.m.

The board has four options to reduce the population at CSHS, address under-utilization at Consolidated, and balance the percentage of low income students between the two campuses.
