College Station Neighborhood Residents Get Action After Making Request To The City Council

Last month, the College Station city council heard from three people living in the Woodlands Hills development behind Lowe’s, asking to keep what’s left of mature trees and shrubs separating their homes from a new commercial development.

Since then, the city’s planning and development services director said he met with the commercial property owner’s project engineer and architect.

Lance Simms told WTAW News the native trees and shrubs will remain along the property line with the homes.

Simms says that meets requirements of College Station’s commercial zoning ordinance.
