College Station ISD employees, students, and their parents will soon have access to new computer software.

Business during the April regular meeting of the College Station ISD school board included the purchase of new computer software that reduces the number of places they go for online resources from six to one.

CSISD Digital Learning Coordinator Natalie Pugh Vela says this will save computer time for students and teachers.

Technology director David Hutchinson said this will improve CSISD’s online protection.

Among other things, Hutchinson says security measures for students to sign in to the new service will depend on their age. For instance, the youngest students will have to match a shape.

The $51,000 dollar cost is being paid with federal pandemic grant money.
