College Station and Bryan ISD School Boards Hear About Increased Safety And Security Measures

This month’s meetings of the College Station and Bryan school boards included presentations about increased safety and security measures for the 2018-19 school year.

Both districts have increased employee training, added school resource officers and deputies, giving SRO/SRD’s a locked location inside campus buildings to store their weapons, installed electronic locks inside campus buildings, and using the same app that will allow two-way anonymous communication between students and employees and law enforcement.

College Station ISD deputy superintendent Mike Martindale listed six areas of emphasis.
