Bryan Council Asked To Support New Trail and Office Development

The Bryan City Council at its March 10th meeting was asked to support a trail system and occupy office space in the former Carver elementary school.

John Jordan of Rose Rock Development says the Ronnie Jackson trail surrounding Hope Crossing Community Center would enhance the neighborhood and provide a safe route for children on the way to and from school.

Jordan proposed a half-mile long, eight foot wide, and four inch thick reinforced concrete sidewalk at a cost not to exceed $142,554.

The council took no action on that and to repair office space for the city’s Community Development office at a cost not to exceed $32,257.
