Bryan Council Approves $2 Million In New Fire & Police Vehicles

The Bryan city council at its last meeting approved the purchase of $2 million dollars of vehicles for the fire and police departments.

Fire chief Randy McGregor was asked by councilman Rafael Pena about buying a refurbished ambulance. McGregor says only the “box” portion of the ambulance is refurbished. The drivetrain of the vehicle is new.

 

The fire department is also getting a new fire engine and a refurbished command vehicle for an E-M-S supervisor. The police department is getting six patrol vehicles, three unmarked vehicles, and one motorcycle.
