The Bryan city council upholds a planning and zoning commission decision, denying a rare appeal that was made to the council.

The council at its last meeting unanimously supported granting a conditional use permit allowing the construction of nine townhomes south of Midtown Park.

A neighboring property owner appealed the decision to build the two story, three bedroom units due to parking issues that will be occupied by renters.

Bobby Gutierrez, who joined the council after chairing the P&Z body, said “hopefully we’ll actually see some more comin’ like this.”
