Hearne ISD School Board Votes to Fires Hearne Elementary School Principal

Bryan Police apprehending a fugitive Tuesday say he was found with a handgun with a high-capacity magazine. Investigators received a tip that 18-year-old *Keijuan Crawford was at a home in the 1100 block of North Sims Avenue. They saw Crawford exit the home with the gun in his waistband that had a drum style magazine. The gun was identified in arrest records as a .40 caliber Glock 23. While the capacity of the magazine was not specified in the records, the smallest drum magazines available typically hold 50 rounds. Crawford had an outstanding warrant for Continuous Violence Against the Family and was apprehended during a traffic stop. The handgun was found under the front passenger seat, where Crawford was sitting. Crawford was arrested on the outstanding warrant and additionally charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. He was booked into the Brazos County Jail and is being held on $125,000 bond. *Arrest records show the suspect as Keijun Crawford, while jail records show his name as Keijuan Crawford.

Four College Station Firefighters were dispatched yesterday to help with the Hydra Wildfire in Bosque County. They were activated as a part of TIFMAS (Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System) Tender that is maintained by Texas A&M Forest Service. Personnel deployed are Captain Z. Hall, Captain J. Yow, Acting Captain W. Vanadore, and Firefighter/Paramedic J.M. Moore. According to the Texas A&M Forest Service, the Hydra fire has consumed 1100 acres and is 25% contained. Brazos County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a call of a stalled vehicle on Wellborn at Norwood Drive around 5:30pm Tuesday. Callers reported that the driver of the vehicle was throwing objects at the cars of people who tried to offer assistance. 41-year-old Karla Jeannine West claimed that multiple were following and chasing her before she ran out of gas. Three vehicles were struck in all. Only one person wished to pursue charges. West was charged with Criminal Mischief under $100. She was released on $1,200 bond. This is her 3rd time in the Brazos County Jail with previous arrests for Family Violence Assault and Possession of a Controlled Subtance.
