Campus boundaries in College Station ISD are recommended to not change for the next school year.

CSISD superintendent Mike Martindale’s recommendation to the school board during Tuesday night’s meeting acknowledged widening gaps at intermediate and middle schools in the percentage of students who are on free and reduced meals…which is one factor in determining boundaries. Martindale also said he was surprised that at Consolidated and College Station High Schools, the percentage of students on free and reduced meals are within three and a half percent of each other.

The superintendent’s presentation also included a possible timeline to expand College Station High School, which is currently using four portable buildings to hold foreign language classes. Martindale said a bond election would have to be approved in November of 2023 in order to complete the project to address projected overcrowding in the 2025-2026 school year.
