Tuesday’s Brazos County commissioners court meeting included a couple of travel and tourism items.

Commissioner Sammy Catalena commented after a unanimous vote to dedicate $250,000 dollars in hotel occupancy tax money if the Texas state 4-H horse show moves to the Brazos County Expo next year for a five year run. The Expo’s general manager, Carl Kolbe, says another 60 thousand from the Expo’s rewards program is also part of the pitch.
