Survivors of a demolition worker who fell to his death at Kyle Field earlier this month have filed a lawsuit.
The mother and two children of 28 year old Angel Garcia are seeking at least $1 million dollars and up to $100 million in the wrongful death action filed on Monday in Houston.
A&M is not a co-defendant.
The lawsuit names the demolition company Garcia worked for, two other sub-contractors, and the general contractor in charge of the $450 million dollar project.
The lawsuit states Garcia was operating a skid steer loader located on the fourth floor spiral ramp in the northeast portion of the stadium, catching concrete debris in a bucket.
A piece of concrete larger than the skid loader could handle broke free from a column and fell into the bucket.
The weight caused the skid loader to topple off the edge. Garcia was ejected and landed back first in a pile of rubble.
The lawsuit states Garcia remained conscious after the fall but died of injuries to his head and torso.
