Statement from Coach Compton

“These past 3 years have been some of the best of my coaching career. So many things have changed since I first arrived at Rudder. I am extremely proud of how our program has grown. Not all of our wins here at Rudder can be measured on a scoreboard.   I have been blessed to be mentored by some great people during my time here and will forever be in their debt. I want to thank the Bryan ISD administration for all the support that I received. I want to thank the community for welcoming in our family and making us feel at home from the 1st day that we arrived.  Thank you to all the administrators and teachers at Rudder. Your continued support for our programs is something that Rudder will continue to build off of.  I truly want thank all the student-athletes and former students.  You are going to be successful far beyond the fields or courts. I now know that when adversity hits you will know how to overcome it. You are amazing young men and women of character. Thank you for all that you have done for me, my family and for Rudder. Rangers Lead The Way”

“It’s been a honor and privilege for me to work with Coach Compton for the past two years. Coach Compton has touched and impacted the lives of many student athletes in such a positive and profound manner over his time at Rudder High School as well as students on the Middle school level. Coach Compton coached the entire child, to assure academic as well as athletic success in the entire program. It will be hard to replace him. He will be missed on the sideline, as well as the hallways, and all other sporting events that he attends and cheer on all student athletes, but he and his family will always be part of the Rudder Family.”
