Weekend DWI Arrests Following Collisions With An Unoccupied Police Vehicle And A Stone Mailbox

A College Station police officer out of his vehicle providing traffic control following a crash around four in the morning on Saturday hears another crash and turns around to find his patrol SUV on its side. The driver of the car which hit the officers SUV is arrested for DWI. 20 year old Mackenzie Moore of College Station is out of jail after posting a $2,000 dollar bond.

A north Bryan resident was awakened around one in the morning on Saturday by a loud boom. According to Bryan police, that was the sound of what turned out to be a pickup striking a stone mailbox on Colson Road…which is east of the freeway and north of Highway 21. The truck left the scene, but according to the arrest report the responding officer followed fluids left behind and the pickup was found about one mile away on Owen Street. The officer found a large piece of stone on top of the truck and other pieces in the windshield and on the hood. The driver, 25 year old Alexandro Perez-Zuniga of Bryan, is in jail on a hold for immigration authorities following his arrest for DWI and striking a fixed object.
