On Wednesday, October 31, 2012, beginning at 9:30 a.m., the Texas Department of Transportation’s contractor will turn on the newly installed signals located at the SH 6 Frontage Road intersections with Southwest Parkway. The signals will be in flash mode and temporary lane closures will be in place for the removal of existing signal poles. The signal will be fully operational by the afternoon commute.
One new feature associated with the new signals will be two left turn lanes for Southwest Parkway traffic turning onto the northbound frontage road.
This work is part of the $283,000 dollar SH 6 signal project that is scheduled to be completed in winter of 2013.
