Water Conservation Award Presented To Former CS Councilman

Former College Station city councilman John Crompton returned to council chambers last Thursday to receive the Brazos Valley Groundwater Conservation District’s (BVGWCD) conservationist of the year award.

BVGWCD General manager Alan Day said Crompton used “benelovent coercion” to change the city’s mindset about water conservation.

Dr. Crompton, who served on the council between 2007 and 2011, thanked those who supported his measures to address a threat of future water rationing.
