Washington’s Griffin III Suffers Knee Sprain

ASHBURN, Va. (AP) _ The Washington Redskins are describing Robert Griffin III’s knee injury as a sprain. Coach Mike Shanahan says the rookie quarterback has mild swelling but could be back under center for next week’s game against the Cleveland Browns. Fellow rookie Kirk Cousins will start if Griffin can’t. The Redskins are 7-6 and trail the New York Giants by one game in the NFC East.
