There’s been many recent developments with the new College Station High School.

The list includes the College Station City Council, which approved plans earlier this month to extend Victoria Avenue past the new campus to William D. Fitch Parkway.

Some on the council, including Jess Fields, questioned why part of the cost wasn’t assessed to one property owner whose land borders much of the Victoria extension.

The council voted unanimously to proceed, and Neeley told the council there would be a workshop addressing assessments on future street projects.

The Victoria extension includes a center turn lane, bike lanes, and sidewalks.

Construction starts in July and finishes next February.
