Vandals Shoot Up Central Texas City Hall

BRUCEVILLE-EDDY, Texas (AP) _ All 10 windows at a city hall in Central Texas were shot out by vandals and the facility had to be closed for a day during cleanup.

The Bruceville-Eddy city hall reopened Tuesday.

Court clerk Nadine Johnson told The Associated Press that the busted windows have been boarded up, while new windows are being ordered.

Johnson says the damage was discovered early Monday at the one-story combination city hall and town hall. Damage estimates have been put at around $18,000.

Police in Bruceville-Eddy, a community of about 1,600 located 18 miles south of Waco, did not immediately respond to a message for comment Tuesday.

Police Chief Dan Ferguson earlier described it as an “attack on our entire community.”
