Union Pacific railroad reminds drivers to not attempt to cross tracks unless they are certain they can get all the way across.
That’s after a car that didn’t clear the tracks was struck by a train Wednesday afternoon that closed two intersections in College Station.
The driver of the car and no one on the train was injured in the collision that took place at George Bush and Wellborn, and also blocked traffic at Holleman and Wellborn.
The collision took place about 4:30 p.m. CSPD tweeted the intersections reopened just after 8 p.m.
The driver of the car has or is going to receive a citation.
