The TxDOT Bryan district office has announced a postponement in replacing overhead signs on Highway 6 in College Station, Navasota, and Hearne.
This project will begin next Monday night, September 30, in the northbound lanes of the freeway at the Rock Prairie Road exit. Northbound traffic will exit at Rock Prairie and travel on the service road in order to replace three signs.
Wednesday and Thursday, October 2 and 3, signs will be replaced on Highway 6 at the north and south ends of Navasota.
And on Friday, October 4, signs will be replaced at the Highway 6 and 79 interchange in north Hearne.

Tuesday night starts the replacement of overhead traffic signs on Highway 6 in College Station, Navasota, and Hearne.
The TxDOT Bryan district office reports the first replacement will be in College Station. Tuesday starting at 8 p.m., northbound traffic will exit at Rock Prairie and travel on the service road in order to replace three signs.
Wednesday and Thursday, signs will be replaced in Navasota at the north and south city limits. That will require lane closures.
And on Friday night, signs will be replaced at the north end of Hearne at the junction of Highways 6 and 79.
At all three locations, TxDOT’s contractor will be working from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m., weather permitting.
