UPDATE: Suspects Identified And Sought In Snook Drive In Fire That Began As a Burglary

July 3, 2018 update:

The Burleson County sheriff’s office has identified several suspects in the June 27th fire that destroyed the Snook Drive-In.

The criminal investigation has been changed from an attempted burglary of the business to a burglary.

Several agencies are investigating the burglary, while the fire portion of the incident was turned over to the state fire marshal’s office.

Deputies are looking for information regarding people or vehicles seen in the area during the fire.

June 27, 2018 update:

One business was destroyed by fire in Snook and a second was damaged.

The Burleson County sheriff’s office is looking for those responsible for an attempted burglary and fire at the Snook Drive-In, which also damaged the Donut Place.

The fire was reported just before 4:30 Wednesday morning.

Volunteer firefighters from Snook, Somerville, and Beaver Creek responded.

According to the Snook volunteer fire department’s Facebook page, crews remained on the scene for more than 12 hours.

Another post on the Snook VFD Facebook page stated at “some point after the truck hit the structure, flames started. It is under investigation on what caught fire first; along with all the other details. Everyone is safe & we thank everyone dearly for your thoughts & prayers for us first responders.”

No injuries were reported.

Two businesses in Snook were hit by a fire early Wednesday morning.

According to the Snook volunteer fire department’s Facebook page, Snook Drive-In and Donut Place were affected.

Mutual aid was provided by the Somerville and Beaver Creek volunteer departments.

No injuries have been reported, and no cause has been released.
