Update:
For the second time in five years, a College Station man faces armed robbery charges.
25 year old Gerrick Oliver is the second of three men arrested on charges of a home invasion robbery last week east of Bryan’s new superpark.
According to the arrest report from Bryan police, the first man who was arrested identified Oliver as the man who had the construction hats and safety vests to make them all look like construction workers, and that he and Oliver used handguns during the holdup.
The victim’s home on Flanigan Street had a video surveillance system, but according to the arrest report there was only the sound of Oliver telling the victims they had a water leak outside their house.
That was followed by a struggle at the front door where an unidentified voice told the victims he was going to blow their heads off.
Oliver, who is held in the Brazos County jail on bonds totaling $200,000 dollars, pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of theft from a person and was given credit for time served from a one year jail sentence. That’s after Oliver was indicted on armed robbery charges in College Station that took place in October 2013.
