UPDATE: Arrests Made in Chase Bank Robberies

Update

Three Houston men were arrested in connection to an armed robbery at a Chase Bank in College Station earlier this month.

Monday, Houston Police caught Victor Chapman, Devante Hudson and Devin Conrad committing a robbery at a Chevron gas station in Fort Bend County. A vehicle chase resulted in the suspects crashing the car and fleeing on foot. All three were caught and arrested.

Tuesday, College Station detectives interviewed the suspects and determined they committed the armed robbery in the parking lot of the Chase Bank on Texas Avenue on May 10th.

According to the arrest report, it was also determined the suspects committed several other crimes including the theft in the parking lot the Chase Bank on Boonville Road in Bryan.

Utilizing security cameras in the area, the suspect vehicle was located at two major intersections within College Station on the date of the robbery. During the subsequent investigation College Station Police Detectives discovered a similar crime had occurred at Chase Bank parking lots in Baytown on May 11, 2016, Houston on May 15, 2016 and Bryan Texas on May 17, 2016. All three of these incidents had the same vehicle and suspect descriptions. This information was disseminated throughout the state for police to be on the lookout for these suspects and their vehicle.

On May 23, 2016 Houston Police Investigators came across the suspects and actually witnessed them commit a robbery at a Chevron gas station in Fort Bend County. A vehicle chase ensued resulting in the suspects crashing their car then fleeing the area on foot. All three suspects were caught and arrested. The actors were identified as Victor Gomez Chapman, Devante Hudson and Devin Conrad.

On May 24, 2016 College Station Detectives interviewed the suspects at Fort Bend County and were able to determine that Devin Conrad, the owner of the Dodge Charger conspired with Devante Hudson and Victor Chapman to commit the aggravated robbery in the parking lot of Chase Bank in College Station that occurred on May 10th, 2016. Detectives were also able to determine that these actors committed several other crimes to include robberies in Houston, Baytown and the Theft from a Person in the parking lot Chase Bank in Bryan, Texas that occurred on May 17th, 2016.

College Station Detectives solicited and were able to obtain warrants for Chapman, Hudson and Conrad for the robbery of two victims in the parking lot of Chase Bank in College Station. Those warrants were served on the three individuals while incarcerated in Fort Bend County Jail.

These three individuals were brought to justice through a collaborative effort with local and surrounding municipal Police Departments, Sheriff’s Departments and the Texas Department of Public Safety.

All three individuals were given a $250,000 bond for each count of the robbery totaling $500,000.

Aggravated Robbery (PC 29.03) occurs if a person commits robbery as defined in Section 29.02, and he uses or exhibits a deadly weapon. This is a First Degree Felony punishable by between 5 and 99 years in prison or life and/or a fine not to exceed $10,000.


Bryan police investigators say a bank bag taking an undisclosed amount of money was taken from a customer by a black man, who ran to a white car and was driven away by a second unidentified suspect.

No one was injured.

Last Tuesday, a customer getting back in his car from a Chase Bank in College Station was robbed at knifepoint.

Tuesday afternoon, a man headed into the Chase branch in Bryan at Boonville Road near the freeway was confronted.

Bryan police at the scene told WTAW’s Scott DeLucia the man was not hurt and he did not lose any money.

No descriptions have been released from Tuesday’s incident.

The suspects from last Tuesday’s robbery in College Station were described as two black men between 25 and 30 years old, driving a white Dodge Charger with an unknown license plate.
