She was among seven adults and one juvenile who lived in the trailer.

The cause of the fire remains unknown. A joint police-fire department investigation continues.

Tuesday afternoon update:

Bryan police and fire investigators spent the day collecting evidence from a mobile home fire early Tuesday morning where a woman was killed.

The victim’s name has not been released.

An undetermined number of others inside escaped with injuries that did not require treatment at the scene.

Fire marshal Marc McFeron said the first unit arrived just after 2 a.m. south of the municipal golf course on Ehlinger at the Mobiltown trailer park.

Firefighers saw flames while approaching the trailer.

Neighboring trailers were not threatened.

McFeron says among the questions to be determined is whether smoke detectors in the trailer were working.
