Update:
College Station police continues their investigation of the Sunday night shooting death of a Bryan man, that at the present time is believed to have been in self defense.
Lt. Steve Brock says there were no witnesses to the man living at the Lexington apartments at Holleman and Anderson firing from a shotgun, hitting 28 year old Zebulun Ransom in the abdomen.
The unidentified occupant told detectives Ransom had a handgun and was attempting to force his way through the front door.
Brock says it’s not known whether the two knew each other.

College Station police report a Bryan man was shot and killed Sunday night in a case of self-defense.
This was at the Lexington apartments, located at Holleman and Anderson.
The apartment resident and what police described as several potential witnesses said as an armed man attempted to enter through the front door, he was shot by the resident.
The man who was shot, 28 year old Zebulun Ransom, tried to run away but he was found unconscious. Ransom was taken to a local hospital where he died.
The apartment resident, whose identity was not released, shut the door after the gunfire, called police, and is cooperating with the investigation.
No arrest has been made.
CSPD has not disclosed if Ransom knew the shooter, anyone else who was in the apartment, and/or the motive for the attempted forced entry.
