Monday morning update courtesy of Bryan Police:
The bicyclist, identified as 50 year old Victor Dewayne Lewis of Bryan, died as a result of his injuries.
The preliminary investigation reveals the bicycle failed to yield right of way at a stop sign.
Intoxication is not believed to be a contributing factor for the driver of the truck and the driver is being fully cooperative during the investigation.

Bryan Police report a bicyclist was struck Sunday night.
The 50 year old male on the bicycle was transported to St. Joseph Regional Health Center where he was last listed in critical condition.
Officers were told the bicyclist was crossing San Jacinto near Martin Luther King Jr. Street when he was struck by an eastbound pickup.
A BPD news release did not indicate if the bicyclist was wearing a helmet and if the driver of the truck was injured.
Officers were notified Sunday night at 9:30. As of 11:15 the eastbound lanes at MLK were closed due to the continuing investigation.
