A Bryan toddler and a teenager were seriously injured Tuesday in a pair of unrelated accidents in which both were hit by moving vehicles.
Bryan Police say the child, 3, was riding her toy scooter in the 1200 block of Verde when she went into the road and was hit by an oncoming car. The child was taken to St. Joseph-Bryan in what was reported to be in serious condition.
That accident happened about 5:30 p.m.
A little more than a half-hour later, a 13-year-old was trying to cross Texas 6 (Rudder Freeway) in College Station with a group of friends when he was hit by a northbound vehicle.
The teenager was taken to College Station Medical Center. His condition is not known.
That accident closed northbound Rudder Freeway near Southwest Parkway for about two-and-a-half hours.
In neither incident was anyone else hurt, nor was either driver immediately cited for negligence.
