United Way of the BV Assessment

For the first time in seven years, United Way of the Brazos Valley has done a community needs assessment of its seven county service area. Initial findings of the assessment were revealed Wednesday.

The assessment had six goals: (1) To determine the health and human service needs of the community, (2) To identify the strengths of the health and human services, (3) To assess the critical unmet needs, (4) To have an updated demographic snapshot of the region, (5) To provide a framework for the community to collectively solve problems, and (6) To provide a road map for future United Way funding.
