College Station fire investigators have not determined a cause of a residential fire Thursday night.
Fire department spokesman Bart Humphreys says it started in a garage of a townhome fourplex and moved into the attic.
The townhome that caught fire was one of the middle units. Humphreys says it took 30 minutes to get the fire under control. Partions built between the attics kept the fire from spreading.
No one was home in any of the units at the time of the fire but two dogs were rescued and not injured.
The fourplex is located on Whispering Creek Drive, between Fitch and Barron and west of the freeway.
