TxDOT Announces Highway 6 Projects In Robertson & Grimes Counties And Upcoming FM 60 Public Meeting In Burleson County

Road construction begins Tuesday on Highway 6 between Hearne and Bryan. The TxDOT district office in Bryan has announced $6 million dollars of turning lanes will be built from Hearne going south starting this week. Law enforcement will be monitoring a 60 mile per hour speed limit that will be in place for the next year and a half.

In Grimes County, TxDOT is planning to build an interchange at Highway 6 and FM 2. TxDOT is collecting requests through September 19th whether to hold a public meeting. The project would also replace Highway 6 bridges over Beason Creek.

And on September 26th, TxDOT is holding a public meeting in Deanville to collect comments about a new overpass for Union Pacific Railroad over FM 60. That gathering will be at the Deanville volunteer fire department.
