The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) office in Bryan has two advisories affecting motorists in Brazos County beginning Friday.
One involves the continued expansion of Highway 21 east of Bryan from Democrat Road to FM 974. When completed in the summer of 2014 this will make Highway 21 four-lane across Brazos County. There are no plans to finish the divided highway to Madisonville.
The second advisory is in Bryan, where the intersection of East 29th and Briarcrest will be partially closed from Friday night at 6:30 until Monday morning at 6:30. Briarcrest will be open and unaffected except for westbound left turns on 29th Street and eastbound right turns onto 29th street. 29th Street north will have some work in the center of the roadway between AT&T and Walgreens but lanes will be open.
