Two Women Arrested After Standoff with Bryan Police

A standoff in Bryan Monday night into early Tuesday morning ended with two women being arrested.

Bryan police officers responded to a home in the 800 block of Tanglewood Drive after the caller reported being threatened by a neighbor with a gun.

When officers arrived, 36 year-old Jeannette Castillo refused to come out of her home.

According to the arrest report, 60 year-old Linda Campbell-Hall, who was also in the home, was yelling obscenities at officers and disrupting their attempts to speak with Castillo. Campbell-Hall is accused to taking the phone from Castillo when she was talking to police and telling her “don’t talk to them”.

The standoff ended around 1:30 a.m.

Castillo was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. According to online jail records, this is her eleventh time in the Brazos County jail since 2005.

Campbell-Hall was charged with interference with public duties. According to online jail records, this is her fourth arrest in less than two years.
