United Way of the Brazos Valley has opened a Storm Recovery Fund in response to the storms throughout the Brazos Valley on May 26 and 27, 2016.
Those wishing to make a financial contribution should visit www.uwbv.org/bvstorms or text the word BVStorms to the number 91999 and follow the link to complete their gift from their phone or device.
Donations can also be mailed to our office at 909 Southwest Parkway East, College Station, TX 77840, Attn: Brazos Valley Storms.
United Way of the Brazos Valley will be working closely with the Offices of Emergency Management and the agencies involved with the Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) to distribute these funds to those impacted by these storms.

Catholic Charities of Central Texas deployed their Disaster Response team to help families in need after flooding and tornados damaged homes and businesses throughout their 25-county service area in Central Texas.
Catholic Charities is working with local officials to assess where and what is needed in each area. At this time, areas of concern are Bastrop, Brazos, Caldwell, Fayette, Lee and Travis counties. With more rains expected throughout the week, Catholic Charities is preparing for the situation in each area to change rapidly.

Catholic Charities is asking for monetary donations to support immediate and long-term recovery needs for victims across their service region. Financial gifts will allow the agency to help families with pressing needs, such as food, clothing and emergency shelter.
