Two New Graduation Week Activities In Bryan ISD

Bryan ISD school board members were told at Monday night’s meeting about two new graduation week activities.

Superintendent Christie Whitbeck reported that an estimated 950 graduating high school seniors for the first time were invited to appear in caps and gowns and walk the hallways of BISD’s 13 elementary schools on Tuesday morning.

Dr. Whitbeck also said a Bryan High student wrote a musical play that incorporates the district’s “Essential Eight” character traits that were incorporated in this year’s curriculum. With the assistance of the BHS theater and choral music departments, BHS students performed the play Monday to an audience of elementary students at the district’s performing arts center.
