Two high schools located in the Brazos Valley have been recognized by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) for meeting all seven academic distinction designations during the 2014-15 school year.

Bryan Collegiate High School and Fairfield High School were among 153 campuses statewide to reach that level.

These schools received the following TEA designations:

· Academic Achievement in Reading/English Language Arts;
· Academic Achievement in Mathematics;
· Academic Achievement in Science;
· Academic Achievement in Social Studies;
· Top 25 Percent: Student Progress;
· Top 25 Percent: Closing Performance Gaps; and
· Postsecondary Readiness.

The TEA reported in Bryan ISD, all but three campuses received a rating of “met standard”. The campuses rated “improvement required” were Fannin, Jones, and Milam elementaries. Another elementary, Johnson, achieved all five academic designations the school was eligible to receive.

The TEA reported all College Station ISD campuses received a rating of “met standard”. Two elementaries, Southwood Valley and Rock Prairie, achieved all four academic designations the schools were eligible to receive. And A&M Consolidated and College Station High Schools received academic designations in six of seven categories.
