Two people placed on probation for crimes in Brazos County are now headed to prison.
In March of 2011, Bryan police responded to a report of a car driving off a street and running over a 16 month old girl. The youngster was taken to a Houston hospital with injuries that included a broken thighbone and a cracked shoulder blade. The driver of the car, 28 year old Princess Walker, entered an agreement with the Brazos County district attorney’s office earlier this month where she admitted to violating five conditions of a community supervision agreement during the last four and a half years. The new deal allows Walker to serve three years in prison instead of ten. Walker’s mother, who according to police grabbed the steering wheel from her daughter and turned the car off the street, previously entered a plea agreement where she admitted to injuring a child by criminal negligence. 46 year old Vanessa Walker has completed a 13 month sentence in a state jail prison. The DA’s office reports the child has made a complete recovery.
On Valentine’s Day, a Brazos County judge ruled that a Bryan man convicted of felony drug possession had violated his community supervision agreement. Prosecutors say 22 year old Charles Ogden, who had contested the charge, violated five conditions over the last year and a half. The judge sentenced Ogden to ten years in prison for the offense that followed an arrest by Texas A&M police almost three years ago that began as a traffic stop in Northgate.
