Two Brazos County Democrats announce candidacies for the 2020 election.

A senior at Texas A&M has filed for the Democratic nomination for the Texas House seat now held by Republican John Raney. Raza Rahman, who is pursuing an economics degree, is a lifelong resident of College Station and a 2016 graduate of College Station High School.

According to the Brazos County Democratic Party Facebook page, there is a candidate for county attorney. Bryan private practice lawyer Freddie Medina is running against two Republicans…assistant county attorney Eric Quisenberry and Bryan private practice attorney, Earl Gray. These candidates are seeking to succeed Rod Anderson, who is retiring.

Monday is the filing deadline for the March third primary.
