A witness to a Friday night armed robbery of a north Bryan convenience store resulted in two law enforcement officers seeing two suspects leave the business.
Two men were caught after a foot chase. 18 year old Kaynaedrick Wheaton and 17 year old Andre Walker were arrested for aggravated robbery.
An employee at the Lucky Mart on Woodville Road was treated for non-life threatening injuries at a local hospital.
According to the arrest report, surveillance video showed Wheaton forcibly removing the employee from his car at gunpoint then hits him in the face, causing the victim to fall backwards and hit his head on a concrete post.
The employee and both suspects returned to the store, where an undisclosed amount of money was taken.
When the men left the store, they were confronted by a Brazos County deputy sheriff and a deputy constable.
That led to the foot chase and the arrests.
Officers found a trash can next to the c-store containing cash and an airsoft gun that looks like a semi-automatic pistol.
$15,537 in cash and $18,376.65 in checks were recovered and returned to the store owner.
