Two Aggies In Top 25 After Second Round Of SEC Women’s Golf Championship

HOOVER, Ala.- Two Aggies are in the Top 25 individually after the second round of the 2018 SEC Women’s Golf Championship. Amber Park led the Aggies with a 1-over 73 on Thursday to tie for 18th, and Maddie Szeryk is tied for 23rd after shooting a 5-over 77 at Greystone Golf and Country Club.

Amber Park had four birdies to highlight her 1-over 73, and is tied for 19th place with a 6-over 150 for the tournament, ten strokes behind co-leaders Ainhoa Olarra of South Carolina and Maria Fassi of Akransas (-4). Maddie Szeryk shot a 5-over 77, and is tied for 23rd with a 7-over 151 for the event.

Texas A&M shot a 27-over 315 on par 72 / 6,253 Legacy Course and is in 14th place with a 51-over 627 for the tournament.

Ariana Saenz had three birdies, shooting a 9-over 81 and is tied for 59th with a 17-over 161. Courtney Dow shot a 12-over 84 and is 68th with a 21-over 165. Chloe Velasco is 69th with a 15-over 87 on Thursday and a 25-over 169 for the tournament.

The Aggies tee off in the third and final round of stroke play at 9:10 a.m. on Friday. Live scoring is available on golfstat.com.
