Two Aggies are dead and two others injured after a one-car accident early Sunday morning.
State trooper Jimmy Morgan says the accident happened around 1:10 a.m. on FM 244, two miles south of Carlos in Grimes County.
“The vehicle was traveling northwest of FM 244 and hit a sharp curve, was unable to negotiate the curve, and left the roadway and struck a tree,” says Morgan.
The driver, 20-year-old Alexis Emmou, of Killeen and one of the passengers, Corinthia Cunningham-Williams, 22 from Brookshire, were both pronounced dead at the scene.
The other two other passengers were taken to St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. Rene Contreras, 20 from Kyle and Tyra Preston, 20 from Houston are still hospitalized.
