Tuesday Fire Calls In The Twin Cities

Bryan firefighters quickly extinguished a fire late Tuesday afternoon at an apartment complex west of Bryan High School. Fire chief Randy McGregor says the first engines arriving at EnVue apartments on Plainsman Drive, off Barak west of 29th, extinguished the fire and cancelled other units that were en route. The cause of the fire has not been announced.

Tuesday calls for College Station firefighters included a trash fire at Century Square. That turned out to be ashes in a dumpster outside the Calvary Court hotel. There was no damage and no one was hurt.

CSFD also responded to a report of downed power lines at Luther and Thompson. Firefighters discovered a tree fell from one yard to another and no power lines were affected.
