The city of Bryan has a new parks and recreation director. Brad Stafford spent 15 years as city manager in Navasota. Stafford fills the vacancy following the unexpected death of David Schmitz in early July.
Meantime, the city of College Station is looking for a parks and recreation director. A city spokesman says Stephen Wright left towards the end of June.

City of Bryan welcomes new Parks, Recreation and Facilities Director
Brad Stafford has been named and is serving as the new Parks, Recreation and Facilities Director for the City of Bryan.
Stafford has 31 years of municipal government experience in Texas. 15 of those years he served a City Manager for the City of Navasota.
He fills the vacancy left by the untimely passing of David Schmitz.
