A pharmacist at a local hospital was caught with handfuls of five different prescription drugs without authorization.

47 year old Kevin Paruszewski of Spring, employed at St. Joseph’s Medical Center since 2009, was stopped by a Brazos County Sheriff’s Deputy Wednesday evening on Highway 30 because the vehicle did not have a front license plate.

Sheriff Chris Kirk says it’s unusual to come up with this kind of volume and variety of body-building drugs.

Comments from Sheriff Chris Kirk.

Kirk says the department and hospital continues to investigate what he says is an unusual drug possession case.

More from the Sheriff.

Paruszewski told the officer he got 28 bottles of what is marketed as Toradol or Acular and over 420 tablets or capsules of Cytomel, Arimidex, Femara, and Tamoxifen Citrate.

The deputy also found a large gym bag of veterinary supplements and an unopened box of 50 syringes.

Paruszewski, who was also wanted by Bryan Police on two traffic warrants, is out of jail after posting bonds totaling almost $30,000 dollars.

Hospital officials don’t expect him to return to work.
