Too Many Winners, So The Texas Lottery Suspends a Game

The Texas Lottery has temporarily suspended sales of the “All or Nothing” draw game.

That’s after determining too many players are winning by choosing certain number combinations.

Launches last September, this game has generated sales of $62.5 million dollars and has awarded $36.7 million in prizes.

The lottery’s executive director, Gary Grief, says there have been no negative financial consequences. But Grief says “we will take any and all necessary steps to protect the financial interests of the state of Texas.”

Lottery officials are evaluating whether to place limitations on wagers that be purchased for any number combination in that game.

Grief says they will honor all prizes for “All or Nothing” tickets that were previously purchased.
