Three Fatal Crashes in the Brazos Valley This Weekend

Three people died and at least four were injured in weekend traffic accidents.

Two were on Saturday in Bryan. Police report in the crash that took place off Sandy Point Road Saturday morning, a woman was sitting in the lap of the driver. The woman was steering and the man was operating the pedals when the car left Hilton Road, then rolled, then struck a pipe fence. A second passenger, 23 year old German Rodarte, was killed. The others were treated at St. Joseph’s and released.

Saturday night on North Texas near Old Hearne Road, investigators were told a southbound pickup veered into oncoming traffic then overcorrected, causing the truck to roll and killing 42 year old Anthony Miller.

The third death was Sunday night on Highway 21 west of North Zulch. DPS Trooper Jimmy Morgan says 18 year old Brookelyn Vogeler of North Zulch was driving a car that went across the center line and was struck by a semi. That makes at least six deadly crashes on Highway 21 between Madisonville and the Brazos County line in the last year and a half, which have killed nine people.
