Three people remain the Brazos County jail following their arrests last month on charges they used stolen credit cards to make purchases totaling more than $14,000 dollars. According to online records, 34 year old Crystal Hawkins and 36 year old Joseph Koon of College Station and 23 year old Jon Jervis of Giddings have been booked in the Brazos County jail a combined total of 22 times. Jervis is also being held on a warrant from San Marcos charging him with a capital murder that took place last month. According to the arrest report from Bryan police, the trio is accused of using five stolen credit cards to make 12 purchases in May. Transactions ranged from $450 to almost $2,000 dollars. Bonds on the accused ranges from $75,000 to $90,000 dollars apiece.
College Station police responding to the report a woman banging on the door of a home south of the Texas A&M campus led to the arrest of the girlfriend of the man living at the home on five charges. 28 year old Jessica Rachal of Bryan is in jail on bonds totaling $44,000 dollars. According to the CSPD arrest report, she struck the boyfriend in the face with a closed fist with enough force to leave a swollen cheek. The assault followed an argument over an unidentified household pet. Rachal was also charged with possessing a knuckle weapon and having methamphetamine and THC. Rachal is also being held on charges of violating probation from stealing up to $2,500 dollars of clothing from the Kohl’s store in May of last year.
If you happened to be awake in the area of Wal-Mart on Briarcrest in the two o’clock hour last Friday morning, you may have heard someone yelling profanity. Bryan police responding to a report to a man who was yelling and asking for gas money led to the arrest of a Hearne man on nine charges. According to the arrest report, 51 year old Alex Webber is accused of giving a false name then running away from the officer. Webber, who was caught after he tripped over his feet, was wanted on warrants from 2016 and 2017 on traffic charges, misdemeanor thefts, and making false statements.
