Texas A&M and KAMU have partnered with The Queen Theatre in Downtown Bryan to bring you three free pre-screenings of PBS’ hit, Victoria.
Jon Bennett, KAMU-TV station manager, said the first show is during Downtown Bryan’s First Friday on January 4th at 8 p.m.
“The Queen is some place I’ve wanted to go for some time, it just seems like a good fit in Downtown Bryan and with the resurgence of the Downtown Bryan area,” said Bennett.
This will be the pre-screening of the first episode in season 3 of Victoria, which is about British royalty. This season starts in 1848, which was a year of revolution in Europe and a period of uncertainty for the monarchy.
“Victoria has been a big hit, we’ve got a lot of fans, a lot of people very excited about this, and it is worth watching,” said Bennett.
Bennett said seats are available on a first come, first serve basis, but two other screenings will occur Thursday, January 10th at 1:30 p.m. and Saturday, January 12th at 3 p.m.
The episode titled “Uneasy Lies the Heat that Wears the Crown” premieres on PBS on Sunday, January 13th at 8 p.m.
